Research Associate at Competence Center for Preclinical Imaging & Biomedical Engineering, at the University of Applied Sciences Wiener Neustadt
After spending some years in clinical conventional radiology during my master studies I entered the field of research in 2017 while remaining committed to my profession - radiology technology. During my time in the preclinical imaging lab at the Medical University of Vienna I built up extensive and profound knowledge in laboratory management, application of various imaging modalities, cell culture, histological and immunobiological staining. In 2021 I joined the team of Dr. Markus Zeilinger at the University of Applied Sciences in Wiener Neustadt to contribute to the establishment of an emergent preclinical imaging laboratory. My various responsibilities in the current position reach from hands-on measurements at the imaging modalities, animal wellbeing, project submissions, to project management and study planning, organizational duties, and educational tasks at the University.
I am finding myself in the middle of this unique field of research consisting of various imaging modalities, an exceptional particle beam irradiation infrastructure and distinguished interdisciplinary teams and collaborators. The research conducted in this constellation of teams holds great potential for boosting oncological research for radiotherapy and immunotherapy.
