PostDoc at Institute for animal breeding and genetics, at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna
I am Tanja Bulat, a PostDoc at the Institute for animal breeding and genetics at the University of Veterinary Medicine of Vienna. After graduating from the Faculty of Biology, I started working as a researcher at the Institute for Nuclear Sciences Vinca, Serbia. There, I investigated the biological effects of protons and carbon ions on different cancer cell lines as a part of an international project between Serbia and Italy. After gaining my doctorate in Biochemistry at functional proteomics, I joined the Birgit Strobl group focusing on JAK-STAT pathways and immunity. Through my scientific career, I gained insight into immunology and the interdisciplinary field of particle treatment. Within the P.A.I.R. project, I am co-supervising the PhD project “Biological effects of particle beam therapy on pancreatic cancer”.
